Haven't You Left Yet?

No, not yet. But soon. Very soon. Thank you to those of you who have left comments. As I add posts and pictures from my trip to Japan, I hope to see lots more. (Please??)

Hopefully you all had a relaxing Fall Break. I spent mine in the White Mountains getting caught up on my JFMF required readings. Teachers, you may be surprised to learn that Curriculum Mapping is not a new concept. (I know, you already knew that.) But educators in Japan have been working on what we know as curriculum maps since at least the 1860s! And issues like junk food in schools and physical fitness -- again the Japanese Ministry of Education has been working on this since before the turn of the century. And the class I'm teaching, Career Explorations and Transitions -- Japan was developing similar curriculums over a hundred years ago. I can't wait to get over there and "borrow" ideas for our class.

Ok, enough teacher talk. Tomorrow, I pack. Can I keep the big red suitcase under 50 lbs? How much do three pairs of jeans weigh? What color should I paint my toe nails? Stay tuned.
