In San Francisco

This morning started with a little drama. My little carry-on didn't fit into the littler plane's overhead compartment. I then ended up in someone else's seat. I guess more than 2 hours of sleep would have been a good thing. But despite baby crying and my inability to listen to my ipod (as is was in the carry-on that did fit in the overhad) I made it to San Francisco in one piece.

We (all 200 of us) are staying at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel near the airport. I was assigned room 313 (which does prove to be unlucky). I entered the room to find unmade beds and enough luggage for a family of five. I went back to the front desk to double check. "Nope, that's your room and your roommate's luggage," they said.

Hmm. Ok. And with my roommate's name I head back up to my room. But the luggage was not hers. After talking to guest services we determined that my room was indeed occupied and I was quickly assigned another room. A better room. Pretty cool huh?

At 2 p.m. we have our Orientation, which means I need to go get dolled up. Business/Formal attire is required. Tomorrow we board the buses for the airport at 8 a.m. I better get packed too. Thanks for keeping up with me and please send me a comment, even just to say hello.
